ACI eManifest advances cross-border commercial processes by requiring carriers, NVOCC, freight forwarders and importers to send commercial information about their shipments in advance. This process happens electronically and directly to the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA).

The pre-arrival data of the shipment speeds up the process of the CBSA’s analysis to detect high-risk shipments before they arrive at the border. Low-risk, legitimate trade is able to cross the border faster and more efficiently.
