AGS Line in compliance with U.S. Customs and Border Protection agency

AGS Line has the required bonding with the US customs as a foreign NVOCC and is in full compliance with the US customs bond procedures. Please note that only OTI licensed American companies are allowed to handle AGS Line house bills of lading in their ports.  Not following the procedures will result in illegal shipment, ensuing high penalties.

International carriers are required to obtain a Customs bond through a surety licensed company by the Treasury Department of the U.S. The Customs bond, required by the Customs and Border Protection Agency, is mandatory when transporting cargo via vessel from a foreign destination to the United States and covers all ports of entry.

OTI Licensed companies

When the AGS Line agent is carrying an OTI license there is no requirement to consign the cargo to a third party. If they are not OTI licensed, the AGS Line agent will make use of the services of an American FMC Licensed ocean transportation intermediary (OTI licensed).

Prior to signing and releasing  the Atlas  Bill of lading for US shipments, the subject OTI licensed forwarder of logistic operator’s OTI number must be checked.

For more information on the AGS Line customs bond,  please feel free to contact our General Agents  :  Atlas International Network.
